The Great Commandment
When asked by the religious leaders of His day: "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" Jesus replied "... Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind and all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these." Mark 12:28-34
The Great Commission
Jesus' last words to the disciples as he was ascending to heaven are found in Matthew chapter 28 verses 19 and 20. These verses have come to be known as the "Great Commission" and are part of our mission at The JOURNEY. The emphasis is on making disciples, then baptism and teaching.
