Church Covenant
As a member of First Baptist Church of Craig, Colorado, I commit myself to God and to the other members to:
- Protect the unity of my church (Romans 14:19; I Peter 1:22; Ephesians 4:29)
- By acting in love toward other members
- By refusing to gossip
- By following the leaders as they follow Christ
- Share in the responsibility of my church (Romans 15:7; I Thessalonians 1:1-2)
- By praying for its growth
- By inviting the unchurched to attend
- By warmly welcoming those who visit
- Serve the ministry of my church (I Peter 4:10; Ephesians 4:11-12)
- By discovering my gifts and talents
- By being equipped to serve by my church
- By developing a servant's heart
- Support the testimony of my church (Hebrews 10:25; I Corinthians 16:12)
- By attending faithfully
- By living a godly life
- By giving regularly
- Fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20)
- Follow the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40)
- Reconciliation and Restoration
- Ask for forgiveness when I have offended another (Matthew 5:24, 6:14-15)
- Grant forgiveness when it is asked of me (Matthew 5:24, 6:14-15)
